Mr. Ayman Al-Ali, a distinguished media professional with an impressive career spanning over 34 years in the industry. With a wealth of experience across various roles and departments, he has honed his expertise and knowledge in the field.
Mr. Al-Ali embarked on his journey in 1988 as a local news correspondent for the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) in the local affairs department. During this time, he covered a wide array of local news stories. His career took a significant turn when he had the opportunity to participate in the coverage of the Gulf Cooperation Council Summit held in Muscat in 1989, marking his first journalistic mission beyond Kuwait.
From 1991 to 1998, Mr. Al-Ali served as a correspondent in KUNA's Beirut office, where he diligently reported on political, economic, social, military, and security events and developments. His outstanding work during this period earned him a reputation as a highly skilled and dependable journalist.
In 1999, Mr. Al-Ali assumed a pivotal role as part of the Arab and International Affairs Department at KUNA's headquarters. He began as a senior editor and later became the editor-in-chief, holding this position until 2005. During his tenure, he oversaw the agency's comprehensive coverage of regional and international events, including major political developments and conflicts.
In 2005, Mr. Al-Ali took on the responsibility of managing and establishing the local affairs news department. Over the course of eight years, he spearheaded the department's development and expansion into new areas of coverage.
From 2014 to 2016, Mr. Al-Ali's leadership extended to his role as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of KUNA. He skillfully managed the local affairs news department and led a team of 54 editors, playing a pivotal role in shaping the agency's editorial policies to ensure its coverage remained relevant and informative.
In 2017 and 2018, Mr. Al-Ali held the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief for Economic Affairs, where he oversaw the agency's comprehensive coverage of economic developments both locally and on the international stage.
Since 2018 until 2022, Mr. Al-Ali has been at the helm of the Photography Center at KUNA as Deputy Editor-in-Chief. In this capacity, he has been instrumental in overseeing the agency's photographic coverage of major events, both domestically and globally.
Beyond his extensive journalism career, Mr. Al-Ali chaired the Sheikh Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah Excellence in Journalism Award Committee from its second to twelfth edition, spanning from 2008 to 2020. This non-profit competition aimed to nurture and enhance the skills of journalists and media professionals, both locally and regionally. The award encompassed four categories for the general public and seven special categories dedicated to young Kuwaiti and Gulf journalists.
Mr. Al-Ali has vast experience in organizing journalism training programs in collaboration with renowned international media institutions such as CNN Arabic, FRANC24, Thomson Foundation, Al-Nahar newspaper, Sawt Lebanon radio station, Al-Jazeera channel, as well as training sessions at St. Just Center in France for editorial cartoonists. His active involvement in these programs has enabled him to stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in the ever-evolving realm of journalism and media.
Ms. Farah Al-Faraj

Ms. Farah Al-Faraj is a highly accomplished media professional with an impressive career spanning over 35 years in the industry. Her extensive experience across various roles and departments has bestowed upon her a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of media.
Ms. Al-Faraj embarked on her career in 1988, commencing her journey in the Publications Management Department of the External Media Sector at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information. During her tenure, she honed her skills in reviewing and evaluating publications issued by the ministry, while also preparing insightful reports on foreign books. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in organizing and participating in book exhibitions organized by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information on an international scale.
Following five years of dedicated service at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information, Ms. Al-Faraj ventured into a new chapter of her career at the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA). Here, she embarked on her professional journey within the Arab Editing Department, initially assuming the role of an assistant editor before steadily advancing to more prominent positions within the department.
Throughout her illustrious career, Ms. Al-Faraj has garnered diverse experiences encompassing news translation, editing, comprehensive coverage of conferences and significant events, and adeptly leading teams during her tenure. She has also actively participated in various training courses that have significantly contributed to her continuous professional development.
Ms. Al-Faraj's invaluable experience as the head of KUNA's office in Beirut further amplified her capacity to deal directly and promptly with unfolding events. In this role, she assumed responsibility for overseeing all facets of the office's operations, including news gathering, reporting, editing, and distribution. Her expertise extended to covering a wide spectrum of political, economic, social, military, and security events and developments.
As a manager and leader, Ms. Al-Faraj has consistently exhibited remarkable leadership qualities throughout her career. She has adeptly led teams of editors and journalists during her various roles at KUNA, diligently overseeing their work and ensuring that their coverage remained not only relevant but also highly informative. Her leadership acumen has played an instrumental role in advancing and expanding the departments she has been a part of.
In addition to her rich professional experience, Ms. Al-Faraj has actively contributed to various committees and initiatives aimed at nurturing journalistic talent in Kuwait and the Gulf region. She was appointed as a distinguished member of the Supreme Committee for the Sheikh Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah Excellence in Journalism Award, an esteemed recognition that celebrates and fosters journalistic excellence in Kuwait and the Gulf region.
